{"id":106,"date":"2020-11-10T00:23:34","date_gmt":"2020-11-10T00:23:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lewistestingservices.com\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=106"},"modified":"2020-11-10T00:23:34","modified_gmt":"2020-11-10T00:23:34","slug":"what-does-field-certification-involve","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/lewistestingservices.com\/index.php\/faq\/what-does-field-certification-involve\/","title":{"rendered":"What does field certification involve?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Field certification consists of required tests related to containment (personnel, product and environmental protection), and optional tests related to worker comfort and safety.<\/p>\n<p>Required tests include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Airflow velocity profiles (downflow and inflow)*<\/li>\n<li>Airflow smoke patterns*<\/li>\n<li>HEPA\/ULPA filter leak test*<\/li>\n<li>Site installation assessment tests*\n<ul>\n<li>Alarm functions*<\/li>\n<li>Blower interlock*<\/li>\n<li>Exhaust system performance* (proper exhaust duct negative pressure and canopy performance)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Cabinet integrity test (positive plenum cabinets only)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Worker comfort and safety tests include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lighting intensity*<\/li>\n<li>Vibration<\/li>\n<li>Noise level*<\/li>\n<li>Electrical leakage, ground circuit resistance*, and polarity*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*Part of LTS Standard Certification Report<br \/>\nIn addition to the above NSF\/ANSI 49 recommends the lifespan of a unit be 15 years.
